What RightCare Can Image and Test—and Why It Matters

One of the most common things I hear from patients after we finish a visit is some version of this: “I didn’t realize you could do all of that here.”

And I understand why that surprises people. Most of us are used to a healthcare system that feels fragmented. You go to one place for an exam, another place for imaging, somewhere else for labs, and then wait days—sometimes longer—to connect all the pieces.

RightCare Clinic was designed to simplify that experience.

If you know us for treating urgent concerns, we want you to know we can do much more. We are not a traditional urgent care, and we are not an emergency department. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the two by providing advanced diagnostics—including CT imaging and moderate-complexity laboratory testing—alongside a physician evaluation in one location.

Why This Matters More Than Most People Realize

Patients rarely come in asking for a CT scan or specific blood test. Instead, they come in because something doesn't feel right.

Maybe it's abdominal pain that isn't improving. Chest discomfort that started unexpectedly. A child who's been sick longer than expected. Fatigue that doesn't make sense.

In those moments, questions start piling up.

• Is this serious?

• Should I go to the emergency room?

• Do I need imaging?

• Will I have to go somewhere else for testing?

Those questions often delay care. People wait because they're unsure where to begin.

One of our goals at RightCare is to remove as many of those extra steps as possible.

What We Can Do In One Place

At RightCare Clinic, many patients are surprised to learn that we can perform both diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing on-site during a single visit.

That includes:

• Digital X-rays for injuries, chest concerns, and bone-related issues
• CT imaging when more detailed internal evaluation is needed
• A wide range of laboratory tests—including the bloodwork needed to determine how sick you are, whether imaging is necessary, and whether you are safe to go home or need a higher level of care.
• Rapid evaluation of results so care decisions can happen quickly

It's important to understand that these tests are never ordered simply because they're available.

Every imaging study and every laboratory test begins with a medical evaluation.

Sometimes your history and physical examination provide the answers without additional testing. Other times, imaging or lab work helps confirm—or rule out—possible causes so we can determine the safest next step.

Our goal is always the right level of care, not simply more testing.

How Diagnostic Testing Helps Guide Care

Diagnostic tests don't replace a physician's evaluation.

They help answer specific clinical questions that arise during that evaluation.

For example, someone with abdominal pain may first receive a history and physical examination. Depending on those findings, laboratory testing may help identify signs of infection or inflammation. If additional information is needed, CT imaging may provide a clearer picture of what's happening internally.

A patient with chest pain or shortness of breath may require laboratory testing as part of the evaluation. Having those results available during the visit helps us make informed decisions about the next step in care.

For injuries, persistent infections, or symptoms that aren't improving as expected, having imaging and laboratory capabilities available in the same clinic often allows us to complete the evaluation without sending patients to multiple locations.

The advantage isn't simply convenience.

It's having the information needed to make timely, informed decisions about your care.

You Don't Need to Know What Test You Need Before You Come In

One of the most important things I want patients to understand is that you are not expected to self-diagnose before walking through the door. You don't need to know whether you need a CT scan, an X-ray, or lab work. That's our job.

Our job is to listen carefully, perform a thorough evaluation, and determine whether additional testing will actually help answer the clinical question in front of us.

Sometimes the answer is simpler than patients expect.

Sometimes additional testing is the safest path forward.

Either way, the decision is based on your symptoms, your examination, and your overall clinical picture, not on a checklist.

Why Having Everything In One Place Changes the Experience

When diagnostic testing happens in the same clinic as your evaluation, the experience often becomes much simpler.

Instead of scheduling multiple appointments or traveling between facilities, patients can often move through evaluation, testing, and treatment planning during one coordinated visit.

That means:

• Less uncertainty while waiting for answers
• Fewer delays between evaluation and testing
• A clearer understanding of what comes next
• More confidence in the treatment plan before leaving the clinic

While not every condition can be fully diagnosed or treated in one visit, having these capabilities available often allows us to begin the process immediately rather than days later.

How This Fits Into Your Care Outside of RightCare

RightCare is not a replacement for your primary care physician, nor is it a replacement for emergency care when a true medical emergency exists.

Instead, we work alongside both.

When appropriate, we evaluate urgent concerns, complete the necessary testing available in our clinic, begin treatment when indicated, and help coordinate follow-up with your primary care physician or another specialist.

Our role is to help patients understand what's happening now and guide them toward the next appropriate step in their care.

What This Means For You

Most people don't think about imaging or laboratory testing until they're in a situation where they need it.

When that moment comes, healthcare can feel complicated very quickly.
